Tips and tricks for making the best slow cooker beef:

Cut of beef to use:

I like to use a boneless beef chuck roast with this recipe, but you could also use a sirloin tip or sirloin roast in its place.

Ways to add even more flavor to this Chinese takeout dupe:

The tasty beef flavor in this simple recipe is perfectly savory, but you could also add a tablespoon of sesame seed oil or oyster sauce for more diverse flavors.

Fresh or frozen broccoli:

You could use fresh broccoli, but the frozen broccoli works the best because it will take longer to cook, and will get less mushy during a longer cook in the slow cooker.
