Ingredients for Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken
This chicken recipe only needs 3 ingredients to make it super flavorful and delicious. My secret ingredient for this recipe is bottled Italian dressing. You might think that it’s a little odd, but it adds lots of seasonings and flavor in just one ingredient. I’m sure you have a bottle of Italian salad dressing in the back of your fridge somewhere, and this is a great way to use it up!
- chicken breast
- barbecue sauce
- Italian dressing (I like Olive Garden brand)
- hamburger buns

How to Make Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken
This recipe is so incredibly simple to make. All you have to do is combine the chicken, sauce, and dressing in the slow cooker, and slow cook for 4-6 hours. Once the timer is up, you can shred the chicken with two forks and let it soak up all the yummy juices. You can also shred the chicken with a hand mixer if you want to do it quicker!
To serve this chicken, I like to toast up some hamburger buns in the oven for a few minutes and pile them high with meat and coleslaw.
What to Serve with Pulled BBQ Chicken
I like to serve this chicken on hamburger buns with coleslaw. I just love the combo of sweet and smoky bbq sauce and tangy coleslaw. If you’re looking for an easy coleslaw recipe, try my Classic Coleslaw.
You could also serve this with Tortellini Greek Pasta Salad or my Corn Avocado Salad on the side.
