Ingredients for One Pot Skillet Lasagna:

How to make One Pot Skillet Lasagna:

Add the sausage to a large deep skillet and cook through. Once cooked, remove any excess grease.

Stir in the seasonings. Add the marinara sauce, broth, diced tomatoes, and lasagna noodles, and bring to a simmer.

Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes, or until the noodles are cooked, stirring frequently so the noodles don’t stick. You might need to add more broth in if the liquid gets too low while simmering.

Add the ingredients for the cheesy mixture to a small bowl and stir well.

Once the noodles are tender, turn the heat off and stir in the cheesy mixture. Let the cheese melt and serve. Enjoy!

How to store leftovers pan skillet lasagna:

Fridge: Scoop and the leftover skillet lasagna into an airtight container and put it in the fridge and save it for up to 5 days.

Tips and tricks for making this simple skillet lasagna:

Meat to use:

I truly enjoy this recipe with ground sausage, but you could also use it with lean ground beef, ground chicken, or ground turkey for this Italian favorite dish.

Toppings for pan lasagna skillet:

Serve this simple recipe as is, or top it with some fresh basil, freshly grated parmesan cheese, or red pepper flakes for a little heat.

Type of noodles to use:

To keep to the more traditional side of this one pot lasagna I like to use uncooked lasagna noodles and break them up into bite sized pieces.

However, you can add whatever uncooked pasta you might have on hand into the pan.

Do the noodles need to be oven-ready?

Nope! When you add the chicken broth to this recipe you can use regular noodles without boiling noodles separately.
