Ingredients for Seared Ranch Pork Chops

How to make Seared Ranch Pork Chops

Sprinkle the seasonings on the pork chops.

Heat a large skillet to medium heat and add in the oil and butter. Once the butter has melted add in the pork chops. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

The pork chops will be done once they reach an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F and they are cooked to your liking.

How to store leftover pork chops:

Fridge: After you are done with dinner and the seasoned pork chops are cooled to room temperature, store them in an airtight container and place them in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Tips and tricks for making pork chops for the first time:

The internal temperature of pork chops:

If you are unsure if the pork chops are done, use a meat thermometer and make sure that the pork chops at the thickest part have reached at least 145 degrees F. This will make sure that the meat is safe to eat.

How to get a good sear on pork chops:

When cooking pork and wanting to have that nice browned, crisp outside, make sure both the pan and the oil are hot before putting the meat into the pan. This will make sure that the outside gets seared well on both sides.

After that, you can reduce the temperature until the pork reaches 145 degrees F.

Type of ranch to use:

When making this seared pork chop recipe I like to grab a package of the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix to make it super simple. But, you can also make homemade ranch dressing mix too!
