Ingredients
3 lb chuck roast
1 onion, thickly sliced
2 cups beef broth (or water)
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 packet ranch dressing mix
1 packet Italian dressing mix
4 cups baby carrots, cut in half
4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
Directions
- Place half of the sliced onion on the bottom of the slow cooker, place the roast on top then add the rest of the onions on the roast. Add in the gravy mix, ranch mix, Italian mix, beef broth, and vegetables cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 7 hours or HIGH for 5 hours.
- After cooking time is up enjoy!

Thank you for the recipe, it’s in the slow cooker right now. I’m trying to get back into cooking and your website/videos have been a lifesaver!
This was so delicious! I used round steak and cooked it in a smaller slow cooker. I cooked it on high for about 5.5 hours. Also, I mixed the packets and the beef broth together with a whisk before putting in. I think to add more flavor I will cut the steak into chunks next time before cooking. Overall, very delicious and easy!

I have an eye of the round roast instead of a chuck roast. Is the cooking time the same or less?
