Ingredients for Oreo Dump Cake:

  • Cookiesgrab a package of Oreo cookies or another brand will do (save 5 to the side for the topping)
  • Cake mix: pick a box of yellow cake mix from your favorite brand
  • Milk: be sure to have a can of evaporated milk and whole milk from your fridge
  • Butter: have cold unsalted butter that is sliced extremely thinly
  • Ice cream for serving

How to make Oreo Dump Cake:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray in the bottom of the baking pan.

Place 20 Oreo cookies side by side to the bottom of the baking dish in an even layer.

Sprinkle the cake mix over the layers of Oreo cookies.

Pour the evaporated milk and regular milk over the top of the cake mix.

Crush the remaining 6 Oreo cookies and sprinkle them over the top with the chocolate chips.

Place butter slices over the dry cake mix. (try to cover most of the cake with butter this will help prevent dry spots)

Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes. Serve with a heaping scoop of ice cream or whipped topping.

Fridge: Store this sweet treat in the baking dish you cooked it in. Place plastic wrap or the lid on the container and store it in the fridge for about 4-5 days for the best results.

Cake mix flavor:

My first thought is to use yellow cake mix to make the classic flavor for cookies and cream, but you could mix it up and use a chocolate cake mix and make this more of a double chocolate Oreo cake. Yum!
