One-Pot Spaghetti with Sausage is the easiest and yummiest meal for busy weeknights. All the simple ingredients are cooked in one pot in under half an hour and you’ll have an easy meal the whole family will enjoy.

Some one-pot recipes are kind of a lie. They’ll tell you to make the sauce and add in cooked pasta. And I’m like, “But how do you cook the pasta?? In another pot!”

Okay, I know I’m being dramatic, but if I’m making a one-pot recipe, I only want to use one pot!

Anyway, this is truly a one-pot recipe, with no need for another pot to boil the pasta.

You make everything in the pot, then throw in enough liquid and pasta and let it simmer for a bit and you’ll come out with a delicious pasta dish to serve for weeknight dinners.

How to make this One-Pot Spaghetti with Sausage:

To a large pot, add the sausage and onion. Break the sausage up and cook until browned. Pour out excess grease.

Add in the broth and scrape the bits off the bottom of the pan. Add in the marinara sauce, water, and spaghetti.

Let simmer, covered, for 18-22 minutes, stirring occasionally while the pasta cooks and the spaghetti is tender.

Stir in Parmesan and serve. Enjoy with your favorite sides or alone!

Meat to use for this one-pot meal:

I truly enjoy making this easy weeknight dinner with ground sausage because it adds a lot of flavor to the tomato sauce. However, you can pick one of these ground meat options as well:

How to serve this easy spaghetti recipe:

Once you have the spaghetti plated, top it off with a little bit of grated or shaved parmesan cheese and some fresh basil or fresh parsley.

If you want to add a little bit of spice to the dish, you can also add a shake or two of red pepper flakes.

What to Serve with One Pot Spaghetti

You could serve this dish by itself and it would be incredibly filling and comforting and wonderful, but if you’re looking to add some side dishes to this meal, you could serve this with steamed vegetables, a side salad, or some yummy garlic bread.
