Ingredients for One Pot Teriyaki Chicken and Rice:

How to make One Pot Teriyaki Chicken and Rice:

Stir in the minced garlic and ginger and let cook for 15 seconds (garlic does burn easily)

Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring up to a simmer over low heat. Let simmer for 18 minutes stirring occasionally until the rice is tender (if the liquid line gets too low while simmering add in 1/3 cup more broth at a time until tender)

Tips and tricks for making one-pot chicken teriyaki chicken:

Type of chicken to use:

You can pick your favorite type of chicken to use. Here are a few options for this one pan teriyaki chicken:

Can I use minute rice?

Since this recipe makes the rice along with the chicken, the best option is to make this teriyaki rice dish with white rice or jasmine rice from the bag.

Fresh or frozen vegetables:

I love that this recipe includes my favorite veggies. If you want to keep it simple, you could use frozen stir-fry vegetables, but I often use fresh vegetables for this quick meal if I have them on hand
