Italian Shells with Sausage

Ingredients
1 lb Italian sausage
1 yellow onion, diced
1 tbs minced garlic
4 cups chicken broth
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
24 oz marinara sauce (I used a jar)
16 oz small shell pasta
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Directions
- Add the sausage and diced onion to a large pot on the stove over medium heat break the sausage up with a meat, masher or a spatula and cook it through. Once cooked remove any excess grease from the pot, then add in the minced garlic, broth, seasonings marinara sauce, and bring this mixture up to a simmer now stir in the pasta and let simmer covered for about 15 minutes. Stir it often so the pasta doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot. Once the pasta is tender stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese serve and enjoy!
