Honey Lemon Chicken Tenders – 15 Minute Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins

  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 tbs butter

  • 1 tbs olive oil

  • 2 tbs minced garlic

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • Honey Lemon Mixture:
  • 3 tbs water

  • 1 tbs cornstarch

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 3 tbs lemon juice

  • 2 tsp low sodium soy sauce

Directions

  • In a shallow bowl add the flour, salt and pepper mix ingredients together. Cost the chicken generously in the flour mixture.
  • Add the butter and oil into a skillet over medium heat. Once the butter melts add the chicken into the skillet cook on each side for 3-4 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
  • While chicken is cooking make the Honey Lemon Mixture, in a small bowl add the water and cornstarch whisk to combine now whisk in the remaining Honey Lemon Mixture ingredients.
  • Once chicken is cooked remove to a separate plate and set to the side.
  • In the same skillet you cooked the chicken in add the minced garlic stir around for 30 seconds now whisk in the chicken broth let simmer for 30 seconds. Whisk in the honey lemon mixture once simmering add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and let the sauce thicken it will take 1-2 minutes. Enjoy!

    if anything i would cook the chicken a little longer as i like it crispy but other than that it was awesome. new weekly dish

  2. Our family tried this tonight….it was good! Very mild tasting for us. If I would make it again, I would add a couple pinches of red pepper flakes for a kick! Thanks Julia!
