Slice the entire package of rolls in half horizontally with a serrated knife. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper, place the bottom half of the rolls on the bottom of the pan layer half of the provolone cheese on the rolls, then top with all of the roast beef slices, brush or drizzle half of the au jus gravy on top of the roast beef, sprinkle the fried onions over the top, place the remaining cheese over the top, then cover with the top buns.

Brush or drizzle the remaining glaze on the top of the rolls.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until you have melty cheese.

While in the oven work on the Au Jus dipping sauce:

To a small pot on the stove add in in the rest of the Au Jus packet and 1 1/2 cups of water bring to a simmer and whisk often until the sauce slightly thickens serve this Au Jus sauce in a small bowl on the side of your dish to dip the sliders in.

How to store leftover juicy roast beef sliders:

Fridge: Place the leftover sandwiches in either an airtight container or wrap the leftover beef sandwiches in aluminum foil and place them in a large ziplock bag

Tips and tricks for making delicious Hawaiian roll pizza sliders:

Type of bread to use for these French Dip Sandwiches:

Since we love making this recipe as sliders, the King’s Hawaiian rolls are a great way to have tasty bread with tender slices of beef that bake wonderfully in the oven.

However, you can always turn this into a true sandwich meal and use hoagies or sub-buns instead of Hawaiian rolls.

Cheese to use:

The best cheese is melted cheese for this recipe. Essentially, you want to pick a cheese you love that will melt into the slices of roast beef. That really is the best part if you ask me.

So we choose to use provolone cheese, but you can pick your favorite if you don’t love provolone.

YUM! These took me 20 minutes to make but were still quick, easy, fun and very tasty.
I made a 3/4 recipe with the 8 rolls I had on hand, and slightly less than 3/4 amount of beef (a 7- oz package) and cheese (I cut 3 large slices on hand to give me 2 roll-sized squares per sandwich). Baked 8 minutes in my countertop oven, which preheats quickly. I reused the glaze bowl to heat the Au Jus powder and water in the microwave, and next time will reduce the water, more in line with my brands’s back-of-packet instructions.

I served with sides of reheated baked beans leftover from another recipe in this video, and red grapes.
