Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 yellow onion, diced
10 oz shell pasta
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp flour
1 cup beef broth
15 oz can tomato sauce
24 oz jar marinara sauce
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup cheddar cheese
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
Directions
- To a large pan or pot on the stove over medium heat, add the ground beef and onion, break the ground beef up and let it cook through. While the ground beef is cooking bring a pot of water to a boil on the stove.
- Once the water is boiling, add in the pasta and cook it according to the package instructions. Once the ground beef has cooked through remove any excess grease from the pan, then add in the minced garlic and seasonings stir well.
- Now stir in the flour until it no longer looks white. Add in the broth and scrape all of the flavorful bits off the bottom of the pan, now add in the tomato sauce and marinara sauce, let it simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is cooked through drain the pasta and add the cooked pasta into the pan along with the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese, stir well and once the cheese has melted down you can serve this up.

Absolutely favorite in our house! Great for meal prepping too because it heats up so well.
This recipe is an absolute winner! It can feed an army, yet it vanished in a single sitting. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also super easy to make, which is a huge plus.
I paired this dish with some garlic knots that I found in the clearance section of my local Walmart, and the combination was simply perfect. The garlic knots complemented the main dish beautifully.
What I appreciate most about this recipe is its simplicity. It’s a great option for when you need to prepare a large meal for a gathering or simply want leftovers for the week. The fact that it disappeared so quickly speaks volumes about how much everyone enjoyed it.
I wholeheartedly recommend this recipe for its taste, ease of preparation, and the ability to pair it with different sides to suit your preferences. Five stars all the way!
