Chicken with a Garlic Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken breast, slice the chicken in half horizontally to make it thinner

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Season the chicken on both sides with the seasonings.
  • To a large skillet over medium high heat add the oil and butter, once the butter has melted add in the chicken and cook on each side for 5 minutes or until the chicken has completely cooked through. Remove the chicken to a plate and set to the side.
  • In the same pan that the chicken was cooked in add the minced garlic and flour stir around until the flour is a golden color.
  • Stir in the chicken broth and let it simmer (stirring often for 1-2 minutes) until the chicken broth has thickened. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer (stirring often) for about 3 minutes or until the heavy cream slightly has thickened.
  • Stir in the cheese and let it melt. Add back in the cooked chicken and coat with the sauce. Serve over egg noodles, rice, vegetables, or anything. Enjoy!
