My Chicken Mozzarella Pasta is perfect for when you want to eat something yummy and homemade, but don’t want to put much effort in. Seasoned chicken simmers in tomato sauce and is topped with melty mozzarella cheese for a simple and comforting dish. Serve it over pasta or eat it on its own for a low-carb meal.

This meal is deliciously cheesy, but if you need to make it dairy free for a friend or family member, simply leave out the cheese. It will still be good without it!

Ingredients for Chicken Mozzarella Pasta

I almost always have chicken in my freezer, and I always try to keep a plethora of jarred sauces and different kinds of cheese in my fridge, so I usually have all of these things on hand.

How to Make Chicken Mozzarella Pasta

This meal takes only a few minutes to prep and is done start to finish in just about half an hour! Any time I can get dinner on the table in just 30 minutes I consider myself super woman, haha!

First, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally. You should end up with thinly sliced chicken. This will help the chicken cook faster and stay more moist and tender. Season the sliced chicken breasts on each side with all of the seasonings.

Let the olive oil and butter melt over medium heat in a large skillet. Try a non-stick sauté pan or my favorite pink pans if you’re in need of a great pan!

Add the seasoned chicken to the pan and cook on each side for about 4 minutes.

Add the jar of marinara sauce, cover with a lid, and let simmer for a few more minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

Top the chicken with the slices of mozzarella cheese, then place the lid back on top to melt the cheese.

To serve, dish up some pasta in a bowl or plate, then top with a chicken breast and lots of yummy sauce. Enjoy!
