How to Make BBQ Chicken Roll Ups
If you’ve never made a cinnamon roll type of baked good before, you might be a little bit intimidated, but this recipe is so easy, I know you can do it. This recipe uses premade refrigerated pizza dough and doesn’t have any rising time at all, so it is so quick and easy when you want something delicious fast!
First, unwrap your pizza dough and roll it onto a large, clean surface. Depending on the type of dough you bought, you might have to roll it out with a rolling pin. Just try to roll it out as best as you can into a rectangle that is about 1/2-inch thick. You don’t need to measure it or anything; just make sure it’s not like 2 inches thick!
After you’ve rolled out the pizza dough, spread your favorite BBQ sauce all over. Next, top with the chicken, green onions, and cheese.
Now comes the fun part. Roll up your dough, cinnamon roll style, starting at the long edge of the rectangle. Roll up all the way until you have one long dough snake. Slice into 2-3-inch slices. You should get about 10 rolls.
Place on a greased baking sheet (Nordic Ware Baking sheets are my absolute favorite) and bake until golden and delicious and enjoy! You can serve the rolls with more green onions on top, BBQ sauce on the side, or your favorite dipping sauce.
These are the perfect game day snack but you can also serve them for a meal too. Just pair with a salad or steamed veggies for a yummy dinner.
