Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 white onion, diced

  • 1 tbs minced garlic

  • 15oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed

  • 15oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  • 15oz can tomato sauce

  • 6oz can tomato paste

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Toppings
  • 1 bag Fritos

  • Shredded iceberg lettuce

  • Shredded cheddar cheese

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Fresh onion

  • Lime

Directions

  • To a large skillet add the ground beef, onion, and minced garlic. Break the ground beef up and cook through. Remove any excess grease.
  • Add in both cans of beans, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, and seasonings stir well and let simmer stirring frequently for 10 minutes.
  • To assemble lay a bed of fritos on the bottom of a plate, scoop some of the chili mixture on top then top with your favorite toppings: lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, diced onion, and lime. Enjoy!
