Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 white onion, diced
1 tbs minced garlic
15oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
15oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
15oz can tomato sauce
6oz can tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
- Toppings
1 bag Fritos
Shredded iceberg lettuce
Shredded cheddar cheese
Diced tomatoes
Fresh onion
Lime
Directions
- To a large skillet add the ground beef, onion, and minced garlic. Break the ground beef up and cook through. Remove any excess grease.
- Add in both cans of beans, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, and seasonings stir well and let simmer stirring frequently for 10 minutes.
- To assemble lay a bed of fritos on the bottom of a plate, scoop some of the chili mixture on top then top with your favorite toppings: lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, diced onion, and lime. Enjoy!
