Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak

  • 1 can diced green chili peppers

  • 14oz can fire roasted tomatoes

  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 lime, juiced

  • 1/2 tsp of each (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper)

Directions

  • Add all the dry seasonings to a little bag or bowl and mix well. Rub and work ispices into the flank steak.
  • In the slow cooker, first put in the tomatoes, followed by the green chili, onion and lime. Add the steak on top of everything.
  • Cook on low setting for 7 hours, or on high 4-5 on high. Shred the steak and give everything a really good stir before serving. I serve in a tortilla with my favorite burrito toppings.

  1. I started off a little late in the day so I browned the beef first and then set set everything in the crockpot.. I went a little easy on the cayenne tho.. Served with all the fixings.. Love to find new recipes for the crockpot so a big thank you for this one! This was so yummy!!!!
