Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • 1 diced white onion

  • 3 tsp minced garlic

  • 2 tbs all purpose flour

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 8oz tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1.5 cups pasta elbows

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1.5 cups Colby jack cheese

Directions

  • In a large skillet or pot brown the ground beef. Once its cooked through remove any excess grease and remove the beef to a plate and set aside
  • Add oli to skillet and onion cook for 4-5 minutes or until the onion is soft. Add in the garlic and stir until it becomes fragrant
  • Add in the flour let it become golden this will take about a minute. Slowly whisk in the broth and bring everything up to a boil
  • Add in the tomato sauce, seasonings, and pasta stir well. Cover and let simmer for 10-14 or until the pasta is cooked. Stir frequently while simmering so the pasta cooks evenly and doesn’t stick to the pan
  • Add in the cheese and cream let it warm through and let the cheese melt. Lastly mix in the cooked ground beef. Enjoy
