Ingredients
1 8-count can of biscuits
2 cups frying oil (I used canola oil)
- Maple Glaze
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp milk, plus more if needed
2 tsp vanilla or maple extract
2 cups powdered sugar
Directions
- Add the oil to a large pot on medium-low heat.
- Gently stretch the biscuit dough into oval shapes.
- Once the oil is hot, add the dough in batches and fry for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- To make the glaze, add the butter, brown sugar, and milk to a saucepan over medium heat and whisk frequently for 3-5 minutes, or until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add the vanilla. Slowly whisk the powdered sugar in 1/2 cup at a time. Add a little more milk if the glaze is too thick.
- Dip the donuts into the maple glaze and enjoy!

Made the maple glaze donuts using Flaky biscuits. My family loved them!!!!
LOVE this idea! If I wanted to make the donuts chocolate-topped, what ingredients would I combine to do so?
Look up a chocolate ganache recipe. Its cream and chocolate great for dipping ๐
