Rotisserie Chicken Bacon Alfredo

I believe it is hard to say no to Alfredo, however, when you make this Rotisserie Chicken Bacon Alfredo pasta with pieces of crispy bacon, perfectly creamy alfredo sauce, and tender pieces of chicken, it becomes near impossible to say no to this ultimate comfort food recipe.

Especially since you use premade rotisserie chicken in this easy recipe, it takes one of the harder steps out of the recipe and cuts down on the cooking time for this recipe.

Plus if you happen to have leftover chicken from a previous dinner, you can skip the rotisserie chicken and still keep this chicken dinner recipe simple without wasting food!

Ingredients for Rotisserie Chicken Bacon Alfredo

  • Pasta: use rotini pasta noodles (or your favorite pasta)
  • Bacon: for this recipe, you can use uncooked bacon
  • Garlic: I like to use the minced garlic from a jar
  • Seasoning: you will need Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper
  • Chicken: pick up a rotisserie chicken from the deli section of the grocery store
  • Cream: heavy whipping cream will give the perfect richness to this savory homemade alfredo sauce
  • Cheese: use shredded or grated Parmesan cheese to finish the alfredo sauce

How to make Rotisserie Chicken Bacon Alfredo

Cook pasta according to the package directions for al dente pasta, drain, and set it to the side.

To a large pan on the stove over medium heat add the bacon, and cook until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels. Set to the side.

To the same pan, the bacon was cooked in add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add the Italian seasoning and chicken to the pan. Let cook together for 3 minutes.

Stir in the heavy cream, broth, salt, and pepper. Bring up to a simmer, turn the heat to low, and let simmer for 7-8 minutes stirring frequently.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let it melt. Once the parmesan has melted, stir in the pasta and bacon, and serve with garlic bread or a simple side salad and enjoy!

How to store leftover this skillet meal:

Fridge: Put any leftover cooked chicken and pasta in an airtight container after it has cooled down to room temperature and it will last for up to 4 days in the fridge.

Tips and tricks for making this perfect comfort food:

Ways to add even more flavor to this easy pasta dish:

  • Add a little bit of garlic powder
  • Sprinkle in some ranch seasoning or ranch dressing to make a creamy ranch alfredo sauce (I mean who doesn’t love ranch)
  • Chop fresh parsley for an easy flavor addition
  • Hide some vegetables in this pasta dish by adding fresh spinach chopped into little bits

Type of chicken to use for this pasta dish:

For this recipe use a premade rotisserie chicken from the deli section at my grocery store. It is a great way to make a tasty recipe for a busy weeknight without having to eat out.

However, you can also make up some boneless chicken breasts and shred them in advance for this recipe. Just make sure you are using precooked chicken as the time for this recipe will not give you enough to cook the chicken through.

Can I use a jar of alfredo sauce?

Yes! If you would prefer to use a jar of alfredo sauce, just omit the heavy whipping cream and the parmesan cheese for the jar of sauce.

Turn this into a pasta bake:

Once everything has been cooked, place the pasta mixture into a casserole dish, sprinkle some mozzarella cheese over top of the cooked pasta and place it in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
