You can really make this recipe your own by picking your favorite sausage to use in the recipe. Whether you want to use polish sausage, beef sausage, chicken sausage, or turn this into kielbasa mac and cheese, its all going to taste amazing!

Or if you don’t think your kids will enjoy the sausage, you can always swap it out for some hot dogs too to make it extra kid-friendly.

Make this into a casserole:

If you want to make this into a simple casserole dish, after you have the sausage and mac and cheese all mixed together, you can place the ingredients into a casserole dish, top it with a little bit more shredded cheeses of your choice and some panko bread crumbs.

Then put the dish into the oven and cook it at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted, and enjoy!
