Jump to RecipeCheesy, saucy, chicken pasta is topped with a crispy Panko and cheese topping to bring the flavors of chicken parmesan without all the work.
If you’ve ever made Chicken Parm from scratch before, you know how much work it is to pound the chicken, batter it, fry it, and repeat. It takes forever and makes a huge mess. I love this casserole because it has all of the elements of Chicken Parm, takes only 5 minutes to prep, and serves a crowd! Make this when you’re craving a comforting and hearty Italian dish.

Ingredients for Chicken Parmesan Casserole
- bow tie pasta (or any shaped pasta)
- water (or chicken broth)
- marinara sauce (I used a jar)
- chicken breast (you can make your own chicken and cut it into bite-sized pieces, or use store-bought rotisserie chicken)
- salt
- pepper
- Italian seasoning
- Parmesan cheese
- mozzarella cheese
- Panko breadcrumbs (try not to use normal breadcrumbs, as they won’t get as crispy as Panko)

How to Make Chicken Parmesan Casserole
Like I said before, this recipe is deisgned to be as easy as possible. In fact, all the mixing is done right in the baking dish. You don’t even need to dirty an extra bowl to make this!
To make this dish, start by spraying a baking dish with non-stick spray. You’ll want to spray it super well so nothing sticks to the bottom, especially since you’re going to mix everything in the same dish you’re baking it in. Add all of the ingredients except the cheese and the Panko. Bake for 40 minutes, covered with foil. After the 40 minutes, stir the casserole up, sprinkle with the cheese and the breadcrumbs, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, uncovered.
Serve this with a side salad or some steamed veggies and you’ll have a complete meal! Your family is going to love this easy Chicken Parmesan Casserole.

This recipe is the bomb! After baking, I cut this up in individual portions and freeze it. I thaw and heat up in a pan on top of stove. So delicious! Just wondering if you think I could make this in a foil pan for delivery to a family with a medical emergency.
I haven’t made this yet. I wanted to double check that you are putting “uncooked” pasta into the casserole dish? Looks Yummy!
Thank you Julia for the recipe Chicken Parmesan
Casserole it was excellent and it is in my Special

Hey Julie, do you precook chicken or use raw, and pasta bows cooked or raw to mix in with other items to bake 40 minutes??
