How to Make Ham & Biscuit Casserole
Making this Ham Casserole with Biscuits only takes about 10 minutes of prep work. First, cut each biscuit into 6 smaller pieces. The easiest way to do this is to use a sharp knife or kitchen scissors.
Next, prepare your slow cooker by spraying it with non-stick spray or lining it with a slow cooker liner. Place your biscuit pieces in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add the eggs and heavy cream to a small bowl and whisk together until combined. I like to add heavy cream to eggs because the texture is just so much more creamy and delicious!
Add the ham and green onions to the slow cooker and stir everything up. To finish it off, sprinkle the cheese in the center of the casserole, but make sure it isn’t touching the sides of the slow cooker insert. It will burn and not be yummy!
Okay, now this part is a little weird but it does have a purpose. Lay a dish towel across the top of the slow cooker and cover with the lid. The towel will absorb some of the excess liquid and help the biscuits to not get soggy. Cook everything on low for 3 hours or until the eggs have set. Serve, top with more cheese, and enjoy!
I’ve made this recipe twice and my family just loves it!
