How to Make Slow Cooker Crack Chicken Soup
This recipe is so ridiculously easy and the payoff is waaaaaay worth the (minimal) effort. First, you’ll add the chicken, all the seasonings, chicken broth, and the cream cheese to your slow cooker. Cook that on low for about 6 hours, or until the chicken is done.
Next, fry up your bacon until it is crispy, and crumble it into little pieces. Go back to your soup and shred your chicken. I love to use a hand mixer to quickly and easily shred your chicken. Using a hand mixer is also great because it will break up any cream cheese chunks if there are still some left.
After you have all your chicken shredded, stir in the heavy cream, bacon, green, onions, and cheese, and heat for another 10 minutes on high. Serve up and top with more cheese and bacon, if you’d like. Taste it and you’ll understand why it’s called Crack Chicken Soup!

Loved this recipe
Very delicious
Hi. I made this recipe, but I accidentally skipped the spinach. It’s on the ingredients list, but not in the directions. When was I supposed to add the Spinach? Thanks.
I noticed that also. I’ve got it on the soup started in the crockpot now.
Since spinach is pretty delicate, it won’t need much time to wilt, especially thinly sliced. I’m going to add mine near the end, with the heavy cream.
I know your comment is a couple years old, but I figured I’d reply, in case others also come looking for an answer to the same question.
