Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs chicken breast
1 cup asian sesame with ginger and soy dressing and marinade (I use the Ken’s Steakhouses Brand)
1/3 cup apricot preserves
1oz packet Lipton onion soup mix
Directions
- Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray.
- To a medium sized bowl add the sesame dressing, apricot preserves, and onion soup mix. Whisk these ingredients to combine.
- Cut each chicken breast into 3 large chunks (This is optional but I like doing it)
- Place chicken into slow cooker pour the sauce over the top.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or until chicken is cooked.
- We like to eat over a bed of white rice with sesame seeds sprinkled over the top and green onions. Enjoy!

Great flavor! Going to try using chicken thighs next time as I find it challenging to cook chicken breasts in the slow cooker and not have them come out dry.
Hello! I am having trouble finding the Ken’s dressing and there isn’t an obvious substitute in my grocery store that I saw. Any recommendations for what to use in place of the dressing? Thank you! This looks delish!
Wonder if this would work with that canned chicken breast (got mine from Costco) ….
Where did you get the Kens Steakhouse sauce? Amazon and Walmart have it listed for about $7 a bottle.
Made this yesterday. Super easy and delicious! Whole family liked it!
Made this last night. We all loved it! I may use thighs next time cause I cooked it a little longer and breast wereslightly dry, but delicious! Making your slow cooker Italian chicken pasta tonight!
Made this today for my wife and our neighbors. Everybody loved it… as expected. Thanks for this and all of the other simple recipes that this old man can make and end up looking like I know what I’m doing.
