Coming back with an amazing recipe for busy weeknights with this 3 Ingredient One Pot Pasta that is made with a delicious meat sauce and perfectly cooked pasta topped with Parmesan cheese.
You can never go wrong with pasta noodles paired with a flavorful sauce all made in one pot. One-pot pasta recipes are perfect because they taste delectable but don’t add to the number of dishes you have to do at the end even when working with dried pasta.
Just make sure you have a big enough pot or Dutch oven to cook enough of your new favorite pasta recipe for the whole family.
Ingredients for 3 Ingredient One Pot Pasta
- Meat: for this recipe, I enjoy using ground Italian sausage but you can also use ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken too
- Pasta sauce: picked your favorite jar of marinara sauce
- Pasta: I enjoy using rotini pasta for this recipe but you can use any shape of pasta
- Seasoning: to add even more flavor use Italian seasoning
- Water: you will need enough water to cook pasta in but may vary depending on the meat you use
- Optional toppings: parmesan cheese, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes
How to make this easy one pot pasta recipe:
Add the Italian sausage to a large pot on the stove and cook it on medium high heat breaking up the sausage until it is cooked through.
Once cooked remove any excess grease in the pan
Stir in the remaining ingredients. Scrape the flavorful bits off the bottom of the pot. (this will add flavor to your dish)
Bring up to a simmer, let simmer stirring occasionally for 18 minutes or until the pasta is tender or al dente (if the liquid line gets too low while simmering, add in ½ cup more water at a time until the pasta is tender.

I loved this recipe! I used beef instead of sausage and Rao’s Marinara. I put pepper on the beef when I cooked it. I also not only cooked the pasta with Italian seasoning but a lot of pepper and red pepper flakes. It turned out so well. Loved serving this with green beans.
This was phenomenal. Pro tip: Use 3 cups low sodium vegetable broth instead of water. Delish!
